Super ripe tomatoes arriving by truck, of course. They rolled into the pueblo square in the center of town and dumped tomatoes. That's when the battle begins. It's free for anyone who can grab as many tomatoes as possible and then start throwing them at anyone and everyone. The truck then drove around the center of town to drop more munitions. Tomatoes were also thrown at festivalgoers. The entire event lasts about an hour. The fight for food ceased when the second cannon shot was fired.
